Organic compactor spill that’s compromising a storm drain due to a faulty seal. After all of the solids were removed, we pressure washed the compromised area. All wastewater was removed via Vactruck and disposed of properly, off-site.

We are digging with a vac truck, it’s called soft digging. The client was experiencing flooding in the truck bay and we ran a camera up the outflow line of truck bay and found a Pepsi can and other debris restricting the water flow. We tried to jet with a linear hose and flush the line but couldn’t move or break up the blockage. We had a beacon on the camera and were able to pin point where the blockage was precisely for easy excavation of pipe. We used the soft dig method because of underground utilities which were present in the parking lot, (811dig will give major utilities). Construction footprint is a lot smaller with soft digging than with traditional earth moving equipment.
Vac truck is like a giant vacuum cleaner on wheels, it also has a water pump on it allowing you to pressure wash and jet pipes. When you soft dig you use the water to break soil up and the vac truck will suck it up. It allows you to safely see any underground utilities.
