A NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) or "Wetland Permit" is required on most commercial construction projects.  These permits fall into two categories Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Phase 1 is written for the construction phase of the site.  In this phase, the SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) is created and the site is inspected daily and reports are created for the failure of BMPs for the site.

Phase 2 is the operational phase of the permit.  This is the portion that gives the requirements for Operations and Maintenance. Once the project is in the operational phase, operations and maintenance reports may be due with the district.  The requirements vary depending on the agency.  DGC works closely with these agencies to make sure our clients remain in compliance.
